A brief introduction to A Meaningful Journey
A Meaningful Journey (En Betydelsefull Resa) was founded in 2016. Our first project aimed to support kids and women in the rural areas surrounding the city of Yaoundé, Cameroon through workshops and sponsor programs. Later in 2018, the project expanded to Fruitful Orphanage in Arusha, Tanzania. Our goal is to support the critical food situation and strive towards a self sufficient orphanage.
An important object of the organization is the exchange between swedish youths and the people in our project areas. Every summer two selected volunteers travel to our project areas and do follow ups and development of the projects.
So far our project have generated a revenue of ~500K SEK which have paid for 300 school terms, 2 tons of food and hundreds of families helped closer to self sufficiency.
We are a non profit organization (Ideell förening) registered in Sweden as Mårtensen & Jadberg Foundation. We consist of a three people board and two registered owners. Along with our annual volunteers.
